Chris Wells
Principle & Managing DirectorChris started his career with HM Revenue and Customs (the "Inland Revenue" as it was known then) working there for over 6 years before moving on to work for various accountancy practices before answering the demand for his skills by opening his own consultancy based practice Christopher Wells Associates in May 1988.
His reputation has flourished and with over 350 current clients Chris's friendly and easily understandable approach to subjects sometimes found uncomfortable by clients satisfies his motivation to help others.
One of Chris's favourite hobbies is angling - if not actually by the waterside, he enjoys collecting vintage fishing tackle.
Aneta Solak
Office Administrator & Tax Assistant - Joined 2012Aneta joined the CWA team in 2012, providing assistance with Tax Compliance and general office duties.
Working closely with Jo and Chris, Aneta is another member of our staff who successfully manages a young family alongside her work.
Aneta benefits our Polish clients by speaking her native language, to ensure the sometimes complex areas of taxation are fully understood.
Gavin Chantry
Accounts Assistant - Joined 2012Qualified AAT, Gavin provides our clients assistance with bookkeeping and VAT Returns utilising mainstream software packages, along with basic accounts production for managerial review.
We have seen Gavin's capabilities grow rapidly whilst with CWA, and we hope to see him continue and succeed in his studies.
At the risk of alienating some (most) of our clients, Gavin confesses to being a keen Arsenal supporter, and also enjoys reading in his spare time.
Jo German
Tax Compliance Manager - Joined 2001Jo has worked with Chris since 2001 - her friendly personality will be familiar to many of our clients.
Since joining CWA, Jo has married and become mother to daughters Sophie and Emily, and she enjoys the difficult task of balancing family life whilst continuing to undertake CWA's routine tax work and generally assisting with clients meeting their HMRC obligations.
Jo enjoys socialising, trips to the theatre, and exploring new places with her family.
Lisa Tierney
Office Assistant - Joined 2011Lisa provides us with essential help in office administration and bookkeeping services, undertaking important background analysis work towards the preparation of accounts.
Having recently become a grandmother for the first time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family.
Nathan Smith
Accounts Manager - Joined 2007With an MSc in Financial Decision Analysis, Fellowship of ICEA, together with training and working for PKF and Grant Thornton, his extensive experience in the profession ensures Nathan is capable and responsible for the production of annual and management accounts for our larger business clients together with maintenance of bookkeeping and accounting records, along with designing systems to help clients maintain internal controls.
Siu Yin Agapiou
Payroll Manager, Bookkeeping & Credit Control - Joined 2001Siu Yin has worked for Chris twice, with a break inbetween to look after her three teenage daughters. Siu Yin operates payroll services for our clients with staff, and attends to bookkeeping and VAT for a number of larger clients, with extensive experience of Sage Software products. She may also be familiar with some of our clients as she also takes care of our credit control.
Fluent in Cantonese, Siu Yin enjoys cooking and keeps fit by walking the six mile return trip to the office daily!
Tony Brooks
Accounts Manager - Joined 1998Our longest serving member of staff, Tony brings over forty years experience in the profession and commerce to CWA. Tony is responsible for our small business accounts and manual bookkeeping systems. He displays great enthusiasm in his work, explaining what needs to be done to clients and often pointing out details overlooked themselves.
Tony enjoys the odd flutter on the horses, and our clients seek him out for the odd 'tip'.
Danuta Jaronska
Trainee Accounts Assistant - Joined 2015Danuta joined us as an intern in early 2015 and we have seen her capabilities flourish and she is now an integral part of our team.
Presently studying for her AAT qualification, Danuta enjoys fashion and reading in her spare time.
Danuta also assists our Polish clients, being native Polish speaking.
